Why not stick with the Chantilly Lace on the walls as well? Just having a difference in sheen will give a nice, soft effect, and since you like the Chantilly Lace for trim, and you want a white room, then why not try it on the walls too?

The two colors you mention are so close that it's not worth agonizing over. As Wow Great Place said, do the walls and trim in the same color. If you want a contrast, then select two colors that really are different.

You've proved my point--they look exactly the same.

Your perception of the colors is totally dependent on the lighting in the room. I'll repeat my comment from before--the colors are too close to provide a nice contrast, but in certain lights you are possibly seeing a difference in hue, chroma or value. The best course of action if you aren't adept at mixing whites is to use the same color on both the trim and the walls.

I'm going to repeat myself a third time and state that White Heron is another very light white which is very similar to Chantilly Lace and Oxford White, so I wouldn't use them together.

Please use the same color for trim and walls UNLESS you want a real contrast between them. In that case, use a real color with some umph in it--dark or medium gray/green/yellow/orange/blue/purple.

Sorry, Lauren, if I came on too strong about White Heron. I know no one mentioned it, but because it's a light white with a very hard to discern hue it's going to present the same problems that using Oxford and Chantilly Lace did. Namely that the colors are much too close.

The one you chose, Cloud Cover, looks like a nice contrast to the Chantilly Lace trim.

I painted our trim Oxford white and used ballet slipper on the walls. Looks a little to yellow I i wanted a warm white to go with Oxford trim?? any thoughts.

Is there any way to put a soft white with the Oxford white trim. What do you suggest?

White Dove is a more colourful White than Oxford White - see the difference in Chroma.

In comparison Oxford White is much more neutral.

Oxford White is also slightly higher in Value so is just a little lighter.

You would need to view in your space to see if you like the combination, but the difference in Chroma should ensure neither looks dingy/dirty next to the other.

I'm trying to decide on a white for a rental apartment in a row house where the front and back rooms get good light but the two middle rooms are a bit darker. Would Oxford white be good for that? Considered Chantilly Lace but it's a tad too gray, and Simply White reads a bit too yellow in a smaller/darker room. Thanks!

Hi all, deciding on our wall color in our kitchen. For some reason everything is showing up very dark in our space, I have no idea why. It’s open concept with a slider and triple double hung window. This was taken at night, trim is chantilly and I’m deciding between these (top: white heron, middle: Oxford white, bottom: white wisp). Any ideas why they are showing up so much darker in my space than others? Leaning toward Oxford but curious

Oxford white is a soft white it has a passive slight warmth it doesn’t feel icy or overly warm I love it ♥️

@hemina Hey i have Oxford white as my wall and chantilly Lace as my trim in my family room abd I love it but I have Oxford white as my trim in other rooms now if you go on The Benjamin moore site they now actually list Oxford white and Chantilly Lace as cordinating/matching colors They also list White Dove as a similar color to oxford white.. White Dove walls with oxford white trim is Gorgeous just like Oxford white walls with Chantilly lace trim ♥️
