I did something similar but I did deduct the cost of supplies -- it was simpler then to have them pay me, then I deducted my costs and donated the remainder to the charity on a monthly basis.

Dee, what a wonderful thing to do! You are doing what you love, decorating those cookies, and at the same time helping dogs and cats in need. That is awesome.

Perhaps since the holidays are coming up, the humane society might get someone to put up a web page with various items including cookies, and people would choose what they wanted after donating directly to the society.

A direct link between you and the humane society would be best I think, in case of an unforeseen liability. (I know, you are talking the very best of life, warm cookies and donations to puppies and kitties, and I'm just an old wet blanket).

It may be that the ingredients might amount to a charitable donation, ask a CPA.

I think you could just require a check made out to the charity upon delivery of the cookies.

What a great idea. Everyone in my life has asked me to just.stop.making.cookies. LOL

Did you just post? I replied. I hope you saw it. Message me if you want.

I replied too.

Sherry and Rita, I don’t understand Houzz. This is my original thread. I can’t see my new one on the feed, but I did see your comments. When I search for it, it says it cannot be found. Not sure why it would be pulled.

Last month a few of my posts took three days to show up and sometimes I could not comment on a thread- even ones I started. That's all been fixed for me now, but you never know.

Some good suggestions here, in light of what happened.

Agree with Jojoco, you rock Dee!
