I’ve grown Lyda Rose for many years and we keep her to about 4-5’, though she would like to be bigger and I think would look even prettier as a larger plant. But I wouldn’t give up on her! She is easily one of my top favorite roses.

Hi Janet - I live in 9b near Napa Valley and I've had Lyda Rose for about six years. She stays around 4-5 feet. Here's a bush shot from May 1, 2017.

She was growing in partial shade until I removed the shrubs you see to the left rear but she's still the same size even with a lot more sun in 2018. I highly recommend this rose and would not be without one. I love her charming blooms, fragrance, and relaxed shape. She's also a good bloomer.
