Nice addition!! Looks like the study would be a nice size. Have you thought of the size of the bed and how you are going to situate it in the bedroom. Looks like you may be tight if you center the bed with the windows.

Can you post an entire floor plan?

Here are my concerns with the addition based on the info we have

-Jack and jill bathrooms are awful. They're being torn out because no one likes using them.

-What poor soul has to have their bedroom right next to the living room?

-A study does not need a closet

-Depending on the size of the bed the layout in the bedroom could be hard

after nearly a year of house shopping to no avail, I've learned that most additions are a terrible idea and poorly executed. It got so frustrating in the small city we were shopping (my hometown) that we were willing to tear down an addition.

This plan essentially turns your family room area into a major intersection in your house. I'm wondering if there's a solution you haven't explored. Can you post a drawing of the existing home layout?
