This has an accordion extension and adjustable head and will swing from side to side from the pivot rod near the wall canopy.

Trust me: this lamp does NOT swing left/right. It only telescopes out at a 90 degree angle from the wall. I tried to return it for this reason and was refused. I have it right here. It does not budge right or left. I called the anufacturer and they agreed. Asked them to stop advertising it as a swing arm. You have to be careful. This is a common misrepresentaiton in these accordion style lamps.
