Are you centering the sink or offsetting it? If centered I prefer option one. If the sink is offset I think either works, but I actually prefer option two.

Then I definitely like option 2. It’s less busy, as you noted, and there’s planned asymmetry at both ends, which I think is a nice balance.

That said, also think about what you’re actually going to store and how you’ll use it and see which is a better fit for your needs.

Yes, that's my preference, at least from a looks perspective.

The drawers look so shallow as to be nearly unusable.

I like the look of the shallower drawer fronts, however I'd like a mix of depth for the actual drawers. Can you get deep ones that looks like it has shallower fronts. I'm not a fan of cabinets only as drawers are more useful.

I prefer option 2 for both but I'd work out a design where you have a shallow drawer adjacent to the sink for toothpaste, brushes, etc. The drawers in the first option are an expensive waste if you can't fill them. The view out the window will be the focus so the vanity doesn't need to perform that function.

I love the design, pretty original. Hanging a mirror on a window, cool. But when I see these designs, I can't help but wonder how functional they are from a privacy perspective? Will you have to say, okay, no one can go out in the yard while I am showering/using the bathroom? Or is just not a concern if you are seen? I can see other houses up on the hill, I would think you would be very exposed at night.

I’m so sorry for the late response. I didnt get any notifications that anyone else responded. I agree with you Anglophillia. I think the drawers will be too narrow. THis option was my idea, but I dont think it’s sensible.

Mayflowers, I will ask about adding more drawers. I think that is a good idea.

Thanks oly! I think I will ask the cabinet maker if I can do this. Maybe a couple can be real drawers, the sink be a cabinet, and the others can be deep drawers.

@rockybird - You might need to make the privacy wall a tad bit higher. Remember, if you can see them, they can see you too!

Thanks trashcanman. It may be hard to tell from the pic, but those homes are very far away. There’s no way they could see in, and if they did, it’d have to be with a telescope from a wierd angle. There will also be tall trees on the other side of the wall. It’s definitely not an issue. But thank you!

I also just noticed that in this pic I posted above, it appears that the top drawers (or the space made to look like the top drawers) are slightly smaller than the lower portion. That might be something to think about, too instead of having them split perfectly in half. It's subtle but a nice aesthetic.

I love the credenzas but I think they might be too colorful. I did think about it though, because I love them. :)

I love the vanity Oly posted, sans shelf. You definitely want shallow top drawers, especially since you don't have a medicine cabinet. There are a lot of small things to store in a bathroom.
