I'm confused. Do you have stuff you need to store, or storage you feel the need to stuff?

I would use the upper shelves for large items not used every day. I have a similar cabinet that houses a large roaster, a tray for grilling vegetables, and a huge SS bowl. Because the items are large, they don't get lost.

And when we took up gardening and canning, those deep shelves were just the ticket for storing 30 quarts of salsa and spaghetti sauce! I'm glad that I hadn't filled them up when the new kitchen was complete.

I like the idea of the top being semi random/odd things. I kept thinking top and bottom need to be used for food, but we simply don't keep that much food on hand. I'm thinking the bottom will be food, with bins and a whole lot of organization. It was driving me crazy having all our food in various different places!

I would definitely add pullouts behind the lower door. You will lose a little storage space for the hardware, but gain a lot of functionality. If you are a bit handy, you can build your own using Blum Metabox or Tandembox hardware. If you mount the glides to your existing shelves, you can even make them adjustable (but you'd lose a little height).

yes it is. Seems the picture I meant to post swapped with the one I tried to delete. I'll try again, but threw stuff in it already to try it out. I was thinking of using the bottom space for produce drawers, rather than having them sit on my counter.
