my sideboard

What would you like opinions about? Do you want to make some changes? Do you want to be told everything looks good?

You're trying too hard! Think of what you need to make this room function properly. Find a mirror or a piece of art you love to put over the sideboard. You can set a drinks tray up on the sideboard - very useful to have this out of the kitchen area when having guests. If you own a tea service or a beautiful large tureen, try that on the sideboard.

A simple bowl filled with season fruit that does not go bad quickly, is always pretty. Right now, a bowl filled with gourds might look nice - or a red or green apples or a mix of both? Later, citrus fruits.

I do rather like your mirror as it's interesting and unique. The colours of the frame - are those colours that you like, are they carried through into your living room, do you have napkins, or tablecloths or dishes that have the same colours?

This blog talks about staging a vignette for selling your home but it does have some information that might help in terms of proportions, etc.
