I love it when the leaves turn to parchment and glow like paper lanterns when back lit. This is Earth Angel (I think) in November 2016.

After I began to love hostas---it was later that I discovered the wonderful fall coloring they could have. I bookmarked that thread and put a link below. Unfortunately, some of the photobucket pictures have now been deleted, but there are still some beautiful pictures.

This is a great thread! The fall colours are beautiful. I have a very blue NIOD that I received a division of the very large mother plant this year, and it’s been amazing to see the colour change. I’ll see if I can attach pics next.

Here it is newly planted on left center:

    Gorgeous pics every one!

LOL B Maggic it is almost as cute as the little gal hamming it up for the pic!

My daughter was enjoying all the hard work we did planting that bed and, yes, she is always a ham, comes with 4 yr old territory. As I become more into my garden hobby, I’m trying to keep her occupied with little tasks. Her favourite is digging the holes!

Ohhh she’s so cute :-) she’s having fun

took a few pics today..in my yard August Moons look the most like fall..Krossa Regal has some yellow..everything else looks green
Halcyon? or Fragrant Blue?..does a lot of rain delay fall color?..

Love the picture of the future gardener! I can't believe it is past mid October already. Some hostas needed cutting down but some are still looking pretty even after multiple frosts and freezes. Here are a couple:

    Brother Stefan

Autumn Frost, living up to its name

Frances Williams, still young but has been pretty all season.

    Blazing Saddles

    Coal Miner

Krossa Regal, not blue anymore but still love it

Pineapple Upside down Cake, first year for this one, so far I love it.

Hopefully winter will be short and spring soon so we can see our hostas popping out of the ground for a new season.

  • gardencool

RIGHT to left: Gold Standard - living up to its name. First Frost - not hurt by the first frosts, down to 23 last Saturday night. Aztec Treasure. Whirlwind.
