It blooms really well. I hope moving it to a newer location won't change the amount of blooms.

It will get less sun then the spot it is in now.

Just wondering, if it blooms well, what is the reason for moving it? Is it getting too much sun in the summer? Water, space issues? Redesigning where things are?

It’s a rarity to have an endless summer that blooms well that far north. Thus, I recommend leaving it as is.

I wish I could leave it where it is, but it is sandwiched between two "Light of Day" hydrangeas.

I even get a single bloom on one of the Light of Day's. We enjoy the varigated leaves of the "Light of Days" ; the reason for keeping them.

Ok, quite logical! Get 2-4" of mulch. Transplant as much of the roots and rootball as you can but do not add fertilizers until Spring.
