My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Hi Matt,


    Thanks for the question! The fireplace was actually new, not part of the original house. It’s located in what is a stone addition we added to the original smaller stone building dating from 1863. The fireplace, the restoration of the original stone and all the new stone for the addition was done by an excellent stone mason named Doug Burpee (BurpeeStone.ca). We're not sure where he sourced the stone, but feel free to contact him.
