I would as it all supposedly food safe materials. But ultimately its up to you depending on how comfortable you are with doing it.

For future ref - if you use old lids boil them briefly first. NOt only softens the old compound but if the fall apart in the pan of water you'll know not to use them. ;-)

Hah! I did boil them, but maybe too briefly. I remembered that modern lids you simmer and older lids you boil.

I dropped one of the unsealed jars today, so that leaves only one with the rubber bits in it.

nila, as Dave said, I'm assuming it's all food safe material used on those lids, so you should be safe.

Sorry about the grapes, though, and that dropped jar.
