As Linda said it’s very sad but at least she knows someone will treasure and use her stash for a good cause. So muc better than its ending up who knows where

I have already written down what to do with my stuff. I don't want anyone to agonize over it. If anyone wants any of it in the family they can pick whatever they want and if they know someone that wants it, fine, otherwise I've given instructions to notify a quilting guild or group to see if it's needed for charity projects, if not it goes to charity.

How fun for you, Theresa! You are so right about her being brave enough to watch her stash be disposed of.

Speaking of fabric, remember the fish fabric you so generously shared with me? I made a quilted apron for my husband out of some of it. A quilter/seamstress friend of mine took the balance to make curtains for her grandon’s new home. He is a fishing guide in northern Minnesota. I hope she sends me a photo. She said she added some coordinating grey fabric, and that they turned out just great. He loved them. Thanks again. What goes around, comes around.

How wise of her to do it ahead of time. I've thought about my garden and what a burden it would be on my family and how expensive to have a landscaper come and rip it out. I've started cutting back already.

Thank heavens for guilds in probably every town to help out. My sister called a month ago and said a friend's mom had died and they were looking for someone to take all her fabric, etc and would I take it? I said yes, hoping there would be some bigger pieces of fabric. I hope I haven't asked for a big mess, but if it arrives, I'll sort quickly and give away what I can't use. I haven't heard anymore about it yet.

Cheers to you, Theresa. She knew who to trust with her treasures! I had a bit of a surprise this week. I ordered a purse from a quilting friend (I think she's a member but haven't seen her here in awhile) and she packed the box with some strips and good sized scraps for a filler. Made my day and I've been playing with them and smiling. :-)

She is most definitely brave and lovely to prepare for when she is no longer here. I imagine you will remember her every time you use those pretty fabrics she has been so generous to share.

That is touching and courageous of her to want to share her precious stash with other quilters. She will be a part of every project made by those lovely fabrics.

i used four of her fabrics this past month in placemats and thought, I should send her one just to show her, the fabric is being used.

This morning's paper had her obituary. RIP.

Oh, that's sad! I'm glad you are using the fabrics, though. It's a nice tribute to her.

These are the placemats. There was enough fabric to do eight mats. My only contribution was the gold for some of the front and all of the backs. The pattern is Take Four. I am very pleased with them. And even though her fabrics were all different lines, they went together beautifully. And the golds are much deeper in real life.

Those are really nice, Theresa. I have that pattern too, but I’ve not made any mats from it yet.

Very pretty. I've not heard of that pattern, but really like it.
