Wow, what a transformation. Love the choices you made. We are about to have our master tub/shower redone too. I am going back and forth on how to replace our jacuzzi tub. I know I'm going with a non-jetted option - just am not sure between a simple soaking tub or the standalone option. How hard was it to take out yours and do the standalone? DId you have to move the drain? It looks like any wall damage could be covered with the tile you did around the tub? (assuming any real damage was repaired of course).

It took one day to demo the master bath including cutting down the tub in smaller sections. It was harder to remove the steel tub in the hall bath. It weighed a ton (exaggeration) according to my guys :-). For the drain, It should not be too hard for a plumber to make adjustments. Yes, the damaged walls around the tub were tiled. You have to take into account nothing will fit like it was years ago. Even standard ones. It will be worth it though. Enjoy and good luck.

looks great. I am intrigued with the master bath shower. (trying to apply this to mine). You have the shower fixtures on the long wall facing the doors. Is this how it was before or did you switch things around? Just curious. thank you.
