need help with wall color

I purchased a herringbone sliding Barn Door in Ash. I would like some recommendations for a wall color if we have bright white trim! I would think it needs to be either lighter or darker so that the door pops. I'm also considering putting some antique bronze handles. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts?
