BLOCK WALL IN BASEMENT

I would like to smooth out the block walls in my basement. (I do not want drywall). What materials can I use? I do not have moisture issues. Plaster is susceptible to moisture issues. Cement and stucco take more time and money I was told. Are there other products out there? Thx

How bad are the walls now that you need to smooth them out? If you have a regular block wall with clean finished joints and if doing regular cement parging is to expensive, just paint them using DryLok and apply a few coats.
