Bench is made of 100% teak wood and has an oil stained rub. Proper care must be taken to keep the finish looking new. I have attached care instructions.

CLEAN AND CARE SUGGESTIONS:

Teak wood is well known for its natural qualities and beauty, for both outdoor and indoor

furniture. Teak wood is naturally resistant to mold and mildew. Like all natural materials

however, the wood used to make our Teak Shower Bench needs to be maintained so it will

last for many years.

It is recommended, that for best results, the bench be dried after each use. Wiping down

the bench will help to eliminate a buildup of soap residue, and minerals found in varying

degrees in all water.

Periodically clean your bench using a mild solution of warm water, white vinegar, and a

small amount of laundry soap.

Mild cleaning solution: To 1 gallon warm water add one cup of white vinegar and a few

drops of mild laundry soap.

Washing the bench every couple of months with a soft bristle brush will help to eliminate a

soapy build-up and keep your bench looking new. Always start with a mild solution and if

build-ups become too severe, you can try a stronger Teak Wood cleaner sold online or at

most Home Improvement Centers.

For preservation consult your local hardware or home improvement store for teak wood

preservation. Be sure to consider if the teak is being used in the shower or otherwise high
