I wouldn't ccover the tile either just have the old tile part taken out and redrywall...

We did our Master bath and bought gray cabinets from Lowes. They are very good quality and come in many sizes and affordable. They have different styles. [Master Bath Remodel[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/master-bath-remodel-dsvw-vd~5527312?n=14). We didn't tile the walls because the room is too big and it would have been costly. Besides, most would be behind the vanities or mirrors. I went with BJM Antique Pewter for the paint. We are still waiting on our LED mirrors.

We went from avocado toilet and shower/ bathtub surround to a lot of white subway tile and a white kitchen height cabinet from a big box store., new tall toilet. We took out the linen closet doors that were very dark oak and made it an open shelving type look. We removed the textured ceiling--not quite pop corn but not flat, and painted the walls beige. Unfortunately I let DH talk me into an accent tile of tiny glass squares that have a variety but over all they are brown. That left me STUCK on brown towels etc. It really makes me angry. My goal was a blank sleight I could have any color accessories in as the years passed. I WOULD NOT start this before Christmas, just sayin.

A new drain can go a long way.. ;)
