Best Vinyl Plank Flooring available in Canada

Hi Guys,

I am looking for Vinyl Plank Flooring for my basement and want to see what you guys can recommend.

Things that are important for me:

Beautiful and realistic like finish
Long lasting and great quality

These are something that I have in mind but want to see if there is even something better.

The Carlton product has better specifications. It is thicker, wider and has one of the industries best/top rated click system ( 5G Valinge). The wear layer is 20mil. The finish is Aluminum Oxide. All three of these options outrank the Costco (middle of the road stuff) without breaking a sweat.

If it were me, the Carlton vinyl carries much more than the Costco stuff. But it is your floor.

And to be clear, a "good" vinyl floor (in Canada) should be MUCH CLOSER to $5/sf than $3/sf. You get what you pay for.

Three bucks a square foot is a disaster in the making...........ANYWHERE. Go in person to the best flooring store near you. It's a selection made on site anyway.

We purchased a Beaulieu product, luxury vinyl plank)... I think it's called Playa Ocata or something like that for the cottage. I went with it instead of a hardwood against my better judgement. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Installation is difficult, it doesn't stay together and it looks streaky. It also appears to scratch easily. We are very disappointed. It was about $5.00 CDN /sq.ft. and now we are stuck with it.

@irafikov Did you end up installing the Carlton Hardwood LVT. We too are looking for recommendations on a good luxury vinyl plank flooring brand available in Canada for our basement. Reading all the horror stories online is giving great pause and concern.

Thank you @irafikov. End result looks beautiful. Not sure which Carlton Flooring LVT you ended up going with but I'm also reading online that subfloors and underlayment are not recommended under LVP that already have underlayment pad attached (e.g. https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5701606/waterproof-underlayment-for-lvp-over-concrete-basement-floor#n=7). This is proving A LOT more complicated and confusing that I had expected.
