dining room chair fabric

I’d like your opinion on this fabric and if it works with my area rug. Walls are painted a pale blue, Sherwin-Williams Rainwashed. It’s a Coastal home and I like the freshness of this fabric. I need something to brighten up the space of this dining room. I dining room table is a pinetop with linen distressed legs.

Ikat fabric would be on eight dining room chairs.

Love the fabric; not so in love with the rug. I think I would either go tone-on-tone with the rug rather than have a competing pattern. Alternatively, you might consider a jute or sisal rug instead. Some options:

No to the fabric because it too bold and missing an imporant color. The repeat looks large and it could be too big to get the entire pattern on a chair seat.

NO!!! Too busy my dear. If you want a COASTAL effect, lose the rug to another room, get a sea grass or sisal, put the bold fabric on the chairs, and let simple linen WHITE sheers hang at the window. Less is MORE.

Thanks, all! I really love this fabric and knew it would not work but thought i would toss it out there for feedback! The rug is staying - I really like the colors and it is a wool rug. I get tired of sisal and neutrals. I need a smaller, perhaps a geometric print in blue or green. Just FYI, i had a sisal rug in the dining room (moved to another room in the house) but it was just too drab with the linen table legs (verticals) and the pine top - too much linen color, so i was searching for fabric that would make the room pop. The chairs now have a tone on toe diamond like shape. Very, very neutral. Thank you to everyone who provided fabric pictures - i like the striped fabric, Beverly

BTW, Beverly, please let me know the mfr/pattern of the striped fabric. Thanks.

OK, I'm at the beach place now. Here are two pictures showing the rug and existing fabric on the dining room chairs. Actually, when I look at this fabric, the colors are identical to the rug, despite what shows on your monitor. The blue and the green match perfectly and the repeat is 13.5. Love this fabric and might use it in another room.

Here is the picture of the living room. Love this Company C rug.

First photo is the fabric with the Company C rug in the living room, another view of the dining room and the last is a slightly brighter shot of the living room.

What about the deeper blue for your seats? Are a small subtle pattern? Something like these?

Not interested in going with the solid but probably a small geometric in green. I need to really bring green into that room. there is green in both living and dining room rugs. In fact, both rugs are very similar in color and would be interchangeable in those two rooms.
