Subwoofer in custom cabinet with grill

I have seen on the site that it is recommended to have a forward firing sub if it is installed in a media cabinet. My cabinet will also have a mesh grill on it. From anyone that actually has this: would you recommend it or do you have lots of unnecessary vibration?

We were toying with this idea as well but just ended up buying a wireless sub and placing it behind the couch out of view. Sounds fine.

You should only have unwanted vibration if parts of your media cabinet are loose.
