It's with a heavy heart to announce to you that my friend Mona Evick passed away this morning and lost her battle with Breast Cancer.

I was just commenting on another post earlier about losing loved ones around Thanksgiving and how it touches us and how we are reminded each holiday. Little did I know at that time, That my sweet friend from North Carolina lost her battle this morning. As I spoke to her sister, I found myself speaking about how we are touched and how hard it can be to lose loved ones at this time of the year. But as we were talking, it came to me as a blessing and I shared with her sister that it is a way to give Thanks for her life and and for all the things she loved...

This Thanksgiving, I will say a prayer to our Heavenly Father for the life of Mona and may her family be Thankful for all that she gave to this world. Even though she isn't here physically, she will always be here whenever I see another Plumeria tree, a beautiful Red Adenium that she gave to me. When I see Hummingbirds do the dance around the feeder waiting for the next " filler up!!"

She loved the people who loved Plumeria and always cared about others and would be wondering about friends who were ill.. She wanted to help others and would not give hints that she was feeling badly herself...

So I'm Thankful that God has lifted Mona to be with her family and her furry babies.

I'm thankful that she is not in any more pain....

I'm thankful for her friendship and I want you all to know that she truly cared about all of her Plumeria friends. She truly loved the good old days of Garden Web and the many friends she had on that forum...

Godspeed my friend and when you are looking for those inflos with your flashlight at midnight, just remember that I'll be out in my garden doing the same as I think of you...

Give my love to your dear Mother and give your furry friends a hug too!
