Bi-fold doors should be a last resort IMO. Go for a regular single door.

Or, paint a bright color or wallpaper the inside, add some fun hooks and have no door. You said it was only used for company coats...

You do not want the swing to be against the front door…too awkward. Guests would have to come in, then move aside….yes, too crowded.

Yes, I was going to add like Judy did that if it's rarely used some nice shelves/baskets/hooks is all you need and then you can keep it open.
