All I really remembered about Forest Ranch Pom Pom was the lovely purple blooms, and that HMF listed the size at 3F. Jeri’s pictures look much larger than that! Does anyone know how large FRPP might grow in my climate? Would it like full sun or a bit of afternoon shade?

Thank you! I’m excited about growing this one. Jeri’s gorgeous purple blooms enabled me right into Forest Ranch Pom Pom. I love these old found roses, so I asked Burling about it during my previous visit. She didn’t have any available yet, but promised me one in the Fall.

It’s listed as a HP on HMF with mention of Damask influences. My Baronne Prevost does very well for me, and I hope Forest Ranch does the same. Although HMF says 3F, Jeri’s pictures of the mature specimen looks big and “spready”. Oh well, I admit that I’m one that doesn’t always look before I leap, especially when it comes to roses!

Forest Ranch Pom Pom grows well for me in S Central Tx. It’s been very healthy the last two years and has grown to about 4’ tall. I give it supplements to help counter act the very alkaline soil & water here. I think you’ll love it!
