Hi, Probably the water is hitting the downspout at the bottom turn. If you can access it, try slipping a sponge in at the bottom turn of the downspout.

I like the sponge, IF it doesn't clog up the exit. It will be a place for leaves to catch so you will have to check it regularly.

Also, Google 'water chain'. You might be able to put something like this inside the downspout to let water run down instead of dropping all the way from top to bottom. Maybe use the cheap plastic stuff since it's inside the downspout and will not see a lot of weather.

Family Handyman had a tip about tying a small rock (or weight) to a thick rope and put it down your downspout for the whole length. I did that and it worked.
