We need to see the entire plan and know where you're building - 5 acres in the country or a subdivision. None of have working crystal balls right now!

the cabinets you have around the window will remain ? So take the window out, fill in with wall board , reinforced properly, and between the studs have a carpenter install shelves....pick your depth, will set back from sink and the other cabinets. Carpentry work, to use the space properly, trim it out, pick the finishes that blend with what you have there, etc . If you can't match your cabinets , use the space anyway. Call a good trim carpenter.

Yep--DIY2much is correct. You probably need a firewall there. So no window, and probably no recessed shelves. Put a nice sconce or pendant over the sink after a proper drywall job.

Attach the garage to the house with a good old fashion breezeway concept.

i like the breezeway concept... not keen on giving up windows. However, a window looking into the garage, no :)

We had a similar situation. Tore down carport and added garage. It left a window from the kitchen to garage. We are in the mountains and the view is everything. So I had the garage built with a wall of windows across from the kitchen, placed at a height so that from the table our view was unobstructed to the mountains. I finished the inside of the garage with built-ins, fully painted, trim, etc. It is kept clean and we now have our unobstructed view of the ridgeline, a garage (that adds insulation qualities from the cold, a "play room" for us in the winter). Our garage floor is actually 4' lower than the house floor and so the view through the windows is all we really see from the kitchen. But ours is not over the sink.
