I'd recommend you go directly to a few pool places and get ideas.

I actually had my pool built outside of my house build contract, which worked great for me. They started the pool just a few weeks before the house was done. I got estimates from three people. I found a good guy I felt comfortable with and he did a nice job. He didn't bolt the pump down and the pool inspector told me he'd never come back... not true, he showed up the next day and bolted it down (lived in Florida--- they bolt everything down:)

We just had a pool built this past summer. Based on your design, if cost is an issue, I personally would go without the Baja shelf. Is your yard sloped? The back of the pool design looks like it's raised. That adds cost as well because it requires more material. If your yard is being leveled before building the pool, the raised wall shouldn't be necessary it's just a design feature. Are the pavers matched to the coping? That's really expensive...our pavers matched to the coping added several thousand and we had less than your design. If you're going with a salt generator, I think the consensus is it's not really necessary. You could cut that out and save a couple thousand. We added a salt generator because I have chlorine sensitivity and psoriasis, otherwise we wouldn't have. Along the way you will have several choices and opportunities to add costs. Our pool was about 10k more than original price because of what we added along the way.

Plain Jane 12x24' pool added this summer. <$30,000. Everything adds to the cost. Spa, finish, size, coping, deck size and type.... Lots of advise if you google pool costs. Get several consults also. Most are free.

Does your budget include what you were planning to spend on landscaping the backyard anyway?
