It's not a syngonium. I thought of that, but it was given to me by someone who collects alocasias, and the leaf structure is that of an alocasia.

Ooh! That's pretty, but it's definitely an alocasia. The stem attaches in the middle of the leaf, except when it doesn't. Maybe it's an alocolocasia. LOL Probably some crossbreed unstable thing.

Did you post a photo or just the lilink to the pic you found online? I'm viewing on a phone and not seeing anything. I believe Wentii has a silver form that looks somewhat like your link but that should get bigger than a jewel.

I just posted the link. I don't know how large this one would get, because when it was growing outside, it was at the base of an oak tree, so I'm sure that affected its growth. It's never gotten very large in a container, and tends to rot away quickly if put into too large a pot.

I saw Wentii, and thought that was a possibility, but it seems to have a bronze underside. I don't know if this would get that coloration if it to get more sun. If I could just get it to grow large enough and put out some babies, I'd feel safer putting it in the ground to see what it would do.
