My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Great kitchen! What is the width of the kitchen and the island? Thanks

    The kitchen is 11'-0" wide. The island is a vintage laboratory desk from Northwestern University, which is a few blocks away. It is a little less then 2'-0" wide, maybe 1'-10". It was a slightly narrow kitchen, but it has a lot of great detail, so I like it better than 'mega' kitchens. It fit really well in this house.

      I like the compactness of this kitchen - looks functional. Can you tell me about the detail in the wood flooring - how is it done? Stenciled? Stained? Inlaid? It's an unusual detail that I haven't seen before.

      It is a hand painted floor that was then finished over with urethane.
