It’s really pretty! Do you love it? I’m using Parkay vinyl for my upstairs remodel next month. It was NOT cheap. I think people get the idea that it is. I decided on it because my older dog has a lot of accidents, and sometimes it sits overnight while we’re sleeping and if I had to worry about engineered wood floors all the time it would drive me crazy.

I really like it. It already stood up to its first trial by fire: we left a pan of brownies sitting on the stove in a glass dish and my big dumb dog pulled it onto the floor. The glass shattered and he proceeded to eat the brownies, cutting his tongue in the proces and getting blood all over the floor. It looked like a massacre when we got home. I swiffered it a few times after picking the glass and it didn’t stain at all. So hopefully it’ll be durable, although we don’t need any more challenges like that!

Beth, Not sure of the cost of just materials, it was around $8.50 per SF installed.

is your dog a lab or Golden by chance?! is he ok? chocolate can be fatal if they eat enough of it.

8 50 installed is a good price for everything.

He's half Chesapeake Bay Retriever. There wasn't much chocolate in it, luckily, it was a chocolate chip cookie brownie. But he just threw up his breakfast. Didn't see any glass in it. Can't wait to pick through his poop

Sharon - we are considering this flooring for our home. Your photos are just how I hope this looks for us. The sample we have seems much lighter than your photos. Are there times of the day that your floor appears lighter?

Hi there! I’m 99% sure I’m installing this Norwegian Maple floor! I noticed the specs said there was a micro bevel. Curious if this makes your flooring look like tile rather than planks?

@b b I have Coretec Hayes Oak which has an "enhanced micro bevel" and it just makes the planks look more distinct. instead of laying flat, you see the planks which I think takes if from looking like laminate to more realistic effect. Here is a close up and what it looks like from father out.

Hi DJ and Sharon, Both these floors look great. Is the Hayes Oak more of a grey or a blonde (light goldfish) colour? I’m looking for flooring for the basement that is light but not grey (want to keep it bright). Sharon, the Norwegian Maple looks much darker than the sample I have. Is it possible to send a picture with brighter lighting which might make it look lighter, more like the sample?

We also just bought the COREtec Norwegian Maple and installing now through the whole house. We have pine walls (it’s a lake house my FIL originally built) and didn’t want to paint the pine. Out of about 50 samples, this was the best complement with the pine — same warm tone but lighter color and not as knotty so it doesn’t compete with the walls. Only 2 rooms had knotty pine walls but we really wanted a “lighter” wood look that would work! Love the light tone and low variation of this floor, as well as the cork backing and easy DIY install!

We are currently in the demo stage, but we start installing the flooring upstairs this week. Here are some photos of the planks in natural light (weak afternoon light in MI, haha). So far we don’t have any of the dark planks shown in b b’s photo. I’m curious to see if we find them as we sort through all the boxes. Will follow up once they are installed with “after” photos. Can’t wait to bid farewell to this shag carpet we inherited!

Also I want to add that the photos really don’t do them justice. I was surprised and impressed by how nice they look in person.

Here’s a couple of photos in daylight and in the evening. We did find dark boards — about 1 in 10. We are happy with the look and feel.

I like the Norwegian Maple too. I just got the sample. How hard is it to cut? I'm probably going to do the installation. Did you float it or glue it?

These floors look great! We have 100 year old maple flooring throughout our house and we are gutting our kitchen/dining area and sadly need to replace the flooring. This looks like a good option to not match but keep it a similar tone. There is a tile entry separating the living area w/maple hardwood and the dining/kitchen. How are the floors holding up and I’m trying to find quick samples (we are late picking our floors). Did anyone find this brand/style in a showroom? Thank you!

I just had this floor installed. It’s beautiful. The color will vary due to lighting so most fotos here do it justice, sometimes more honey, other times more orange (wrong word, just mean less golden). The bevel, the flat finish, the darker planks, the bébeles, make it look a lot like wood. Everyone who’s seen mine loves it. Good choice & I looked forever!

Ummm…bébeles means bevels. Can’t edit so correcting here!

Thank you all. In the end we went for a lighter colour - Grande Maccah Oak - which is great for our basement but we may go for Norwegian Maple for upstairs after seeing all these posts and beautiful photos.

Barb Ev it’s a beautiful color. Very different from Nor. Maple. I had to consider contrast w my furniture & at first wanted a paler wood, but it would’ve been too big a contrast. The “view your room” on Coretec is pretty accurate so uploaded many rooms w my furniture. The width is diff too I think. Think yours have wider planks. Enjoy! Glad you’re happy with it.

I am having Norweign maple installed in a couple of weeks. What do you all use to clean them with?

Hi Lisa, I start w floor vacuum w no beater brush to risk damage to lvp. It’s combo to vacuum or sweep for me. Then use heavier dry swifter pads on their mop to remove dust. Can also use dust mop. Then use damp o cedar easy wring mop. Tried drops of dawn or pinesol in bucket of water but don’t really need it unless there’s grimy area. The less you put on floor the less chance of buildup though you can rinse after too. Best thing about this floor is how little dirt you can see, but you’ll feel any grit or dust. Enjoy it. It took me a while to get used to it (2mos) because had bamboo, wood, but this is so much easier and either the cork backing or traces of wood shavings in center give it a woodsy smell. It is not giving off gasses type of smell, since it’s got good rating, so enjoy the woodsy scent. The color is so good I can’t tell if a spot I see is coffee I spilled or a knot design on wood pattern!

You’re very welcome. Only thing I keep in mind is finding correct cleaning product or to ask manufacturer because lvp can get buildup of a product which you can’t remove as w other floors. They suggest a hard floor cleaner online. I bought one at home depot but decided not to use. What I mentioned above works fine for dust and dirt. Wishing you many good things in the new year!
