Thanks for your response. I like the woven and textures as shown in your second and third photos. On the slider, would this work to draw them up and down rather than have something that slides vertically?

they have specific coverings for sliders. you'll have to look at those.

or maybe you could just do some drapes

I thought about drapes, but because the windows are inside an angled bay, I'm not sure how that would work as far as drawing them open and closed.

The slider is tall - 98" including trim around it. We do use the slider as we have a spa outside the slider. I was thinking of possibly doing a cellular vertiglide and cellular on the side windows. Then maybe doing a rod across the entire window area on the edge where the bay starts and hang some drapery panels on each side to frame and soften the area. Thoughts?

I have always wondered if you should have draperies blend with the carpet or with the walls. What is the rule of thumb on this.

How light sensitive are you? That will truly dictate what kind of window decor you'll need.

I always like this idea for bay windows where the drapes cover the whole thing at night and if you want then add some roman shades in a sheerer fabric for a bit of day time privacy.

When it comes to the bedroom, I like it lighter during the day, and darker for night and early morning hours.

a combo/layered window treatment sounds like it would be ideal! Room-darkening shades paired with drapery.

Still trying to decide on a window treatment for my master bedroom. I have attached a photo of my dining nook area (sorry the table and chairs are in the way) with the window treatment that is on it. This bay window with sliders is the same as in the master bedroom On this window treatment I have cellular shades with a vertical cellular slider and cornice valance and stationary panels on either side. I think it would have looked better with a slightly textured cellular to give it a softer and more cohesive look. I think it has too structured of a look for the bedroom. I also think it might have looked better with a panel in each of the corners on either side of the slider, but I have to live with it for now. I would like comments/opinions on this same particular treatment for the bedroom as it is now, but with different fabric on draperies and different shades. What would you change about it, or do you like it the way it is? I have attached a photo of the bedroom furniture to give you an idea of the style of it. (Awaiting correct bed framing of side rails and footboard.) Oh, and the three little windows above the bed have room darkening cellulars on them now. Would it be o.k. to leave them as is, or should they match whatever shades I put on the slider area windows?
