Kitchen Lighting to Replace Fluorescent Tubes

last modified: 7 years ago

Hi All,

I am slowly remodeling my kitchen. I have installed new floors, countertops, appliances, and a backsplash. I think this year's project will be lighting. I currently have fluorescent tube lighting on a sloped ceiling (part of an overall vaulted ceiling in the main living space). The ceiling is popcorned. What are some suggestions on lighting? My concern is that there is a good chance that the ceiling under the fluorescents is untextured. I know that you can some type of product that looks similar to the popcorn that is up there, but I have heard it does not blend as well. Should I lean towards getting some other tube lighting, if that is an issue? The chandelier in the picture will also go, as there is no breakfast table under it.
