Such a lovely and cozy looking room. I vote for panels only. I personally like minimal window treatments so you can see the outdoors. Plus you have really nice windows.

IMO if privacy is not an issue but maybe heat or sun then I would do drapes and solar shades to control the sun the drpes to cosy it up at night.

1 or 3, but the drapes are a stark cool white, while the rest is a warm off white. So either warm white curtains, or even darker ones like the color of the plaid in the chair.

If privacy is not an issue, go with stationary panels so you don't see the rod across the entire window.

If both rooms are on the front of the house, what ever you choose, have the treatments the same.

yes, color is just a photoshopped picture - drapes will be creamy white or a warm light pale

Bumping this up, since I'm still working on the window treatments. The Drapes in the picture are just photoshopped in.. nothing is hanging yet. SO...

1) Ivory drapes (close to the sofa color, or a whiter off white (not a stark white).

2) Someone mentioned NOT to have the Drapery Rod extend across the whole window. The last time I have custom drapes made, the designer was adamant that the rod SHOULD go across the full length with full drapes that appear they could as well... ???

Yeah, you want a rod that goes across the entire expanse here. Drapes should always look as if they could close and cover (even if you'll never use them that way!) to keep the eye happy. You're on the right path here - keep going.
