Agree with 8x10. Get a rug that is soft but easy to crawl and play on, which means a shorter pile so you don't have to change it for function in a few months.

The larger size beneath furniture will prevent it from slowly migrating like the rug in my son’s nursery did. It drove me crazy until I eventually found another spot for it.

Wool rugs can feel scratchy and sometimes shed fibers for years. Be sure to use appropriately sized rug pad to help keep rug in place. Rug pads also can help keep rug corners from being a tripping hazard. Very important when holding baby.

Bigger is better. Can't tell which way the door actually opens into the room, but you may enjoy being able to see the crib and rocker from the doorway without entering the room and disturbing. You can check on baby and family can check on the two of you without coming in.

I would switch the toy chest and bookcase. It’s nice to have the bookcase close to the glider for grabbing books. Also bear in mind that the glider will have to be pulled away from the wall so that it doesn’t hit the wall when rocking or reclining, so it will take up more space than you think. I would also consider making the bookshelf double up as the side table, as nurseries can feel crowded with furniture quickly. Make sure everything is anchored to the wall!

If t helps, my nursery is almost the same dimensions and layout, but we don’t have a toy chest, just a side table with books in it for now. Once baby gets a bit older we will replace with a bookshelf like we did for our toddler.
