Door solution needed

Hi there! I am starting the process of remodeling our old 1920s basement. My husband is a musician, so I want to create a part of the basement where he can set up all his keyboards and leave them assembled. We have small kids, so I want to be able to lock this area off so that they don't mess with it. The room he'll have is roughly 15x10. Right now, i have a ~7 foot opening to this room so that he can ideally open the doors and rehearse with other people in the larger part of the basement.

My challenge is that i'm having a hard time find a door that will work for it. I would love to have something with glass panels so that you can see into it. It doesn't have to be super soundproof. I know there are solutions like https://www.panda-windows.com/ but we got a quote for a door like that and it was about 7k. More than i want to spend. I want something that can lock too. Any suggestions?? I really appreciate your help!

Do you need to be able to hang things on the wall beside the door? If not, then a sliding barn door might work.

I don't necessarily need to hang anything on that wall, but it might be nice for him to be able to set up some keyboards there. i also don't know if i could get a 7 foot door that could slide like that. Open to any links/products you might suggest?

I would go to a salvage store or Re-Store and check out what they have. Sets of doors, maybe having to be repainted or stained, some old, some new(er), are usually plentiful and inexpensive. They could be perfect for a basement room, and you’d use standard hardware with a lock on the door.

I don’t know if you like the idea of working with older doors, but the main advantage is that you can build your opening AFTER you get the doors, so it’s a completely custom build. If you need wide or tall doors or doors with glass inserts, you can surely find them at a salvage store.

How much sense does it make to have your husband playing in the smaller room, and accompanying other folks in the larger basement space?

In that case, wouldn't it make more sense to move a keyboard out into the larger basement space?

In other words, why do you need that very larger door and opening?
