Sorry for the bad photo... I only have a screen shot of a video from my cell phone. We are cleaning out a section of the woods that used to be a flower garden 50 years ago, but is now dreadfully overgrown. Found this beautiful sapling growing in the middle of the privet hedge and monkey grass - but have no idea what it is! Flower had 4 thick pink petals with yellow stamens. at the base of each flower is a small round green leaf with smooth edges. There are no other leaves on the tree yet, so am unable to describe leaf pattern, or margins. Any idea what it is?
