    Thanks. When I talk to my lumberyard, what grade of cedar should I ask for? Its 4" T&G right? Red Cedar? "Clear" or better? Not familiar w/ the industry terms.

    Also, how'd you seal it? If its Sikkens Cetol, what stain color? Thanks, again.

    Love the cedar stain ! Wondering how it would hold up to our canadian winters :)

    This site is in the snowbelt in Michigan, so the winters are fairly harsh, and 3 or 4 years is about the cycle on refinishing.

    Do you know the profile used for the siding? V-grove 3/32" possibly? Was it blind nailed? Thanks.

    It was standard V-Groove. I've also seen it referred to as the WP-4 profile. Blind nailed in the top of the tounge with stainless trim nails. Stainless nails is critical.
