Meyer lemon cutting on its own roots from a momma tree I killed.

Its coming along. It's mother went into bloomlock after some insect issues and that was that. I chucked mom after I couldn't take looking at it but it genes remain....

That is great that you were able to root it!! At least you have the child that will hopefully grow up big and strong.

I have a grafted one much larger. This is on its own roots and has shown no inking of wanting to bloom (a good thing). It's momma (also really a young 2 year old tops) went always went blooming and while still young I allowed it to fruit one lemon - big mistake.....I think these grown under my conditions have to wait 3 years, this cutting is about 2 years old.

Just don't plant it in the ground. Meyer roots are weak and susceptible to most soil borne diseases

Meyer lemon is one of the easiest cultivars to root. Regular lemon is another.
