Getting Rid of Cigarette Odor

I am in the process of clearing out a small (1200 sf) home of a relative who has passed. She was a heavy smoker who smoked in the house everyday. Does anyone have suggestions for how to go about ridding the terrible odor?
We are already discarding sofa and chairs, pulling up wall-to-wall carpeting, and discarding drapery.

Use Kilz paint after you wash the walls thoroughly, I would use Nature's Miracle for cleaning everything, the stuff is awesome. Other members may have a cheaper solution than the Nature's Miracle, I swear by it, it removed all the cig smoke from a love seat that was given to me.

I had to clean cigarette smoke from a log cabin- washed every surface with solution of hot water, baking soda and white vinegar. Then left trays of baking soda in every room for a week.
