What do you want to do with the rooms? It seems like the rooms should be switched. Room 2 should be the dining room since it is right off the kitchen.

Post a picture of each wall in the living room. Post measurements of the rooms, doorways, openings and windows. What in the rooms is staying? How many people use this space?

I think the furniture is just wrong for the purpose of the room. The couch and chair are not conducive to playing strings of the sort I see. Not sure the couch is needed at all. If you lost the ottoman you would have room for proper music stands. I am guessing you have a collection of begged/borrowed/cast off because you invest in your instruments. Time to go shopping and buy furniture that is friendly to you while you play.
