Can you add moulding to the drawer panels? MDF can be painted. Is it warping because it has been exposed to water?

You can have a cabinet-builder make you new drawer-fronts and cabinet doors. I did this a few years ago in 3 upstairs kids' bathrooms. We did not replace the cabinet frames. This is what he did:

- checked the boxes to make sure they were good

- measured and made the drawer fronts and cabinet doors

- installed the doors with new soft-close hinges that go on the inside (to do this he added a piece of wood on the inside for the new hinges to attach to)

- installed new soft-closed drawer glides on the existing drawers, and attached the new drawer fronts

- Note: one vanity needed some reinforcement because he knew I was installing new granite on top and he was concerned about it. But we didn't have to replace it and it's holding up fine.

Then I:

- got new countertops (local stone place), sinks, faucets, and lighting (Lowes or Home Depot depending on who had which item on sale)

- installed new hardware (Lowes)

- had the vanities and walls painted

On the cost, I'm not exactly possitive how it split out because he did the same thing to my laundry room and a powder room at the same time and I paid with one check. By counting up the numbers of drawers and cabinets, I *think* the 3 bathrooms all together cost about $1250 for his part of the project (we are in the Houston metro area). All together there were 6 drawer fronts and 12 cabinet doors, new glides and hinges, installed.

On MDF, he used that in my laundry room and the painters painted them, no problem.

Hi we are refacing our cabinets. The counters will likely be replaced also eventually.i am looking for ideas for cabinet colors...something not as white maybe off white or cream or light grey. Our tiles have all the colors, floor is earthtone...
