Rosie needs help!

For some reason I am not notified by email when there is discussion on a post I have commented on. I always used to get an email notification. Now I don't. I have to go to GWF site to see if anyone commented.

Yes, I have already checked to make sure I want notifications down at the bottom. AND I clicked it to off and back to on just to wake it up so to speak.

I tried to go through HOUZZ but there is no help there.

Anyone with any ideas to help me??? I am missing the posts!!!!! Rosie

Umm, I sporadically get notifications of posts I originated, but that's about it.

I monitor with both the member 'Activity' section and the 'Stories and Advice' that shows me recent postings.

That feature hasn't worked for me in ages. In fact, it doesn't always work with threads I have started either, come to think of it. I've given up on auto-notifications and just check in now and then, looking to see what threads have been updated since I was last here.

hmmmm, ever since I have been in this forum it has worked. I was beginning to think no one was posting much. THEN I started checking in and finding I was not receiving notifications! I crawled all thru HOUZZ and can't figure out how to tell them.

dbarron I will check the member Activity section, but I got really spoiled getting my email notifications! Darn!

Yeah AnneC,,,,,I guess I will just have to keep checking in! Heaven forbid I miss something! (un-notified) Rosie!

Hey everyone! I think I fixed it!!!! We will see. But I looked for past posts dealing with this problem and someone said they went into their profile page and sure enough,,,,,,,THERE was the problem. ALL my settings were set to NEVER! Who the heck did that? So I redid everything and put it back and now I have to wait and see if it works! Wish me luck!!!! (hopefully notified) Rosie

I checked my settings and one was never, but I only sometimes get email even so...so don't be too overjoyed ;)

I know,,,,,I am still on high alert. But lesson learned, if you suddenly aren't aware of conversation,,,look to see if anyone is talking! lol Rosie

I just turned the 'When someone comments on your reply' back off...because my mailbox was going off constantly (too many threads). I guess there was a reason I turned it off (lol)..I had just forgotten.

Sorry it didn't work for you dbarron! The only forums here that I belong to are this one, Begonias, and Gesneriads. Notifications have, at times been many, but never out of control. I really missed the notifications when I didn't get them. I am happy now! Rosie
