Chandelier for 9 foot ceiling

I want to hang a chandelier in a formal sitting room that has 9 foot ceilings. There will not be a table underneath so I need to make sure the fixture is no less than 7 feet off the ground. The room measures 12.10' by 11.11' so I believe the diameter of the chandelier should be 23-24" in order to not look disproportionate with the room. I like the look of the one below. How much chain has to show? I'm having troubling finding one that is wide enough but not going to hang more than 24" from the ceiling. I'd prefer not to do a flush mount. Thanks!

    Hi There!

    Since you have no table to place under, you must remember that you need to walk under this light fixture without bumping your head. 9' ceilings give you plenty of options and you do not have to have to do a flush or semi-flush mount. However, you do need to keep scale in mind as you will not be able to hang the fixture from a long chain. Nothing over 25" in width. I would search between 18"-25" and keep it under 15" tall (with a 12" chain). I never recommend a rectangular or oval fixture to clients in your situation as these follow the lines of a dining table beautifully but not as a central fixture in the centre of a room.
