We are doing a little work in our basement and I am not sure where to put the TV. Help!

The basement is long and narrow. The fireplace isn’t a focal point IMO because it’s not very pretty :-) so, I was considering (and put electrical for) a TV opposite the fireplace.

After googling a lot.... seems like this is undesirable.

So - then, the other option is to put it uptop the fireplace.

Only problem is that we (my husband) would like a bigger TV than will fit comfortably above the fireplace.... only a 40” would really fit above it.... which feels small for the room.

Sooooo.......WHERE SHOULD THE TV GO??!

In other design stuff. We are...
- Doing vinyl wood looking planks for flooring.
- Smoothing the ceiling.
- Maybe doing bookshelves on the wall
- Building the dehumidifier next to the sub pump on that bench thing (essentially burying it)
- Keeping part of the bench next to the sub pump, having toy storage built into it.
- Are planning to put a wine cellar-ish thing on the other side with a glass wall due to space constraints/ aesthetics.
