I love that beautiful pastels are sooo Florida. A soft peach might be nice.

A pale peach color would be very nice! What will work best to give this little gem some pizzaz will be to clear off the yard items, and keep any replacements very simple. A long bench in dark wood, and some large planters, plus a bush or tree on the other side to anchor the view.

We in central FL....many homes like this in our area. Its very nice...loads of potential!

I would keep it light , white , creme ...slightly different shade from trim , lighten up the garage and front door also ...how about a little seating area outdoors ..porch ? You need shrubs and a few trees for shade ..lovely space to create what you like and need in your house ! Think where you like to sit and eat outdoors ? Think about where you like to have your breakfast or just a Coffe or tea , where to take a few minutes to rest/ sleep outside ..then build a porch or terrace in front of your kitchen , your living room or bedroom ...and have fun ..with shrubs and trees...to help you enjoy your lovely home . Florida is for living in and outdoors ! You need some shade areas.

A light shell pink is very Florida, and will work with the colors of the houses around you. A light grey green would work as well.

That agua of the birds would be awesome but what you really need is landscaping to enhance that house and a different front door with a lot more glass. Get some solar shades on the inside instead of the meesy looking blinds , the shades will allow you to see out but block the heat and UV rays.A patio that runs the whole width of the house would be nic e and I think the furniture is fine and a lot more inviting than a backless bench

Some options

Yellow and cream houses to the left and right....you need to be in a different color family. Aqua, coral, green are possibilities. Then you need some landscaping! Go to the big nursery where you live and select some native or zone-specific plants and a tree or two. The nursery may offer planting services. Use various shapes and some good colors. Find out where your water lines and waste lines run and do not plant a tree or large shrub in those areas. Read the tags on each item and allow enough space for each to grow to its mature size without crowding the other plants. Add some hardscape: a walkway or a low wall defining a planting area. Add a few large rocks. Don’t plant everything in a straight line across the front: curve your planting area toward the street in a couple of places.
Do not give yourself more maintenance than you are prepared to handle.

I love the aqua idea. I think it would look great.

White House, white Bahama shutters. Turquoise front door. Or, turquoise house, bright white trim and front door. Beige, grey, navy , black, etc. are not attractive in the sunshine state. Embrace Florida. When time come for a new roof, install a metal vs asphalt roof. Here’s one example that has been copied up and down the street and throughout the neighborhood.

A soft aqua with bright white trim could be nice.

However, I'm a big fan of all white and your home needs a completely new landscaping plan to take the importance off the paint on the house. There's nothing special about your modest ranch, but it could be really special if you add tons of trees and mostly eliminated the lawn in the front of the home.

Thank you all so much for the great ideas! Agree that I need some better landscaping in front, but the house is on a VERY, VERY steep hill. I wanted to plant a few of trees, but I am told not a good idea as the hill is so steep. It is South facing so the heat is unbearable out there. Our back yard has huge porch and trees and shade and privacy so we spend little time out front. I'll post an after picture when done. Thank you ALL again!

Not sure why you were advised not to plant trees on a hill. Frankly, it doesn't look steep and what did they say the issue with the hill caused?

What you don't want is lawn. Lawn on sand will turn into just weeds.
