Costus dubius doing its 'thing'.

With some recent rain the Beehive Gingers (Costus) in my garden are flowering. The most prolific is the Costus dubius. Technically speaking it's listed as a weed, I got my original plant from a nature reserve. (being public spirited, I was helping to remove some of their weeds.)Over the years it's spread through my garden but not to the point of being a problem. It seeds prolifically but they don't seem to go very far from the parent plants.

What a pretty "weed" it's very unique to me, I've never seen anything like it

A weed is just a plant in the wrong place at the wrong time.

    Cool plant

"Weed' or not, it is pretty.
