Not sure that art is the caliber of the piece on the other side. Have you considered moving that vignette to the bigger wall which needs something more impactful? Then try the mirror in the niche. If it isn't enough, consider painting the inside of the niche a rich accent color. Are your lamp shades navy or black?

Thank you decoenthusiaste. You’re right about this art piece, but I need something big that is affordable. I have tried moving the niche pieces on that wall, but the cabinet sticks out a bit too far. My lamp shades are navy.

If you can return it, then bring it home and see.

My thinking is that a vertical canvas is not right for your room. I show both your canvas selection and an alternate from the same artist.
