I would rather see the over hang extended to make a full porch along the front of the main house.

The shutters on the main part of your home do not fit properly.

I have struggled with those shutters as well. But do you think the windows are too far apart without them?

The gables look great! In this case I don’t mind the shutters. But you could do a sketch without them and have the windows trimmed with heavy trim to make them look bigger and see what you think?

much better. With out the gables, you aren't really doing much to the facade. I would also paint or replace the front door to draw you in. Also can you extend the porch to the left?

The gables mean more downspouts.

How are they going to do the downspouts? As it looks now to me they will have to run 3 extra downspouts down the front of your house. You just can't have the rain water running down the front of your house
