Bar stool suggestions

Hi! Eventually going to switch out these barstools for something sleeker. House is rustic glam/french provincial stylings (variety). Bar underneath is virtual taupe (pulls blue in pics). Accents throughout (stairs) and appliances black. Thinking sleek black would highlight the bar area and new quartzite countertops the best. Must be comfortable, leather (no fabric) and kid friendly. Thanks for advice! (posting some that I like in comments)

I like the PB Aaron but worried not comfortable and do not want to deal with cushions

cpaul1 that's a good idea although do not love how ornate the stools are, they came with the house so not my taste! Not the appliances though...just bought new oven in black stainless for over 4k...I hate stainless steel and it would clash with all the bronze and black we have.

we will need a new fridge I'm guessing in the next year that will get changed to black stainless soon enough:)

ps should add these stools swivel and kids keep hitting new counters with sides, so worried one hit will take a chunk out of counter....

another contender these from Ballard but they are not leather but the Sunbrella fabric (not sure how well they truly hold up)

Not sure if sleek enough for you, but these barstools are AWESOME. High quality. 500 pound weight capacity. Great for kids (see wide base for stability), comfortable padded black leather. And affordable. I have this style in a stainless finish and cloth seats....purchased them over 18 years ago for my basement bar and they still look and function great. My guests fight over who gets to sit in them. You can buy them for $104 each in the clearance, scratch-n-dent page. Or order new for more $. I have purchased 8 of these stools (in the scratch n dent area) for my showroom. They look great...so far haven't seen anything noticeable.

Sorry just saw you don't want swivel. Maybe my post will help others. You can order non-swivel (Jackie Stool) but nothing on clearance...would need to find a Holland Barstool vendor in your local area or find an online vendor.

Or buy these for the great deal they are....and hold on to them for a couple years until kids can stop banging in to the counters. :-) I purchased six barstools from Target in an effort to save $ for my main bar in my basement....and they started breaking after two years and are not nearly as comfortable as my Contessa stools. My 18 yr old Holland Contessa stools are still perfect aside from a few frayed threads on the upholstery. I have 3 of them in another section of my bar....my guests prefer them!

now going back to thinking I should try to match the wood of my dining room chairs. any opinions on the light or dark colored leather?

I think wood stools make the whole area look too heavy and blend in with the floor. Try something fresh and clean.

those look modern/nice but we have to have backs and my husband who is 220lbs spends the most/a lot of time in them so something functional for him

I wish these Ballard ones came in leather

or save a ton of $$$ and paint what I have with chalk paint leaving the seat brown leather?? (they are beat up so wondering if just painting would help?)

You have no idea how difficult it will be to paint and keep the paint off the leather. Sell the barstools.

my husband agrees. says if I. paint them they are going in the pool......

Actually went to a furniture store today. The Canadel furniture you can create your own and the prices were the same if not better as one's I was finding online. Any opinions on these:
