accidentally drilled through vent

somebody drilled through a vent pipe while trying to anchor mount medicine cabinets through tile. now there's a hole in the vent.

can I just open the drywall from the other non tile side and patch up the vent tube? maybe patch with butyl tape?

or do I need to replace that whole segment of vent pipe?

these are the holes in question and the middle bottom hole punctured the plastic pipe behind the wall. guess nobody thought we would be mounting medicine cabinets across the entire wall.

If it's only a vent, it's not under any real pressure. Anything can provide a decent seal. I'd probably squirt a little polyurethane caulk in the hole with a caulk gun and forget about it. I assume this is a small hole?
